Gig Studios is proud to present a preview for the official release of Rise of Three Kingdoms v3.0, a total conversion for Medieval II: Total War - Kingdoms. The setting of Rise of Three Kingdoms focuses on the 100-year long civil war in China, during the 2nd and 3rd centuries, following the fall of the Han dynasty. Boasting a unique map, factions, buildings, units, events, trait system, enhanced scripting, and historical characters with extensive biographies, it offers a unique and immersive playing experience in the momentous battle to unite a divided China.

For those who don't know much about the start of the Three Kingdoms period, here is a 3 minute gif that explains the events and people that lead up to the setting of this mod.
Below you can find some screenshots of both the campaign map and a couple of military units on the battlefield, offering just a tiny glimpse of the many things to expect in the official v3.0 release.

It will be an entirely new install. Aside from all the new content, all of the old and obsolete "junk" was removed. I believe install size is about 1/2 of what it was for beta.

Thanks for the quick response, can I push my luck and ask if all the factions have there own missions/story line like Liu Bei moving to Shu :whistling, Which reminds me, The other day I was playing a hotseat game with my brother and pal. Then about 5 or 6 turns in the computer as Liu Bei started to move all his troops over to Jing province he left his starting city's and moved his whole army there, Its the first time any of us have seen it happen but it was pretty cool to see :thumbsup2

Unfortunately, due to manpower shortages, each faction will not have their own missions. However, that is something that will be done for future versions, with the Cao Clan, Sun Clan, and Yuan Clan first up to get unique missions.

Honestly, this is the only other medieval 2 mod I am paying any attention to (right up there with TATW)..and considering that I have been watching the three kingdoms series and playing Romance of the Three kingdoms X recently.. I am having a hard time keeping my heartrate under control! Cannot. Wait.
