    Superb job, Gig. May I ask though, why it is that all the captins share the same surname as the faction leader? For example, all the Yuan clan captains are called 'Yuan ....'.

    It has to do with how the name files work in M2TW. When a character is born into a faction, is adopted into a faction, or is a captain of a faction, they all take their names from the exact same name list. The issue with having a variety of surnames is that family members that are born or adopted into the clan have a high probability of not having their clan's surname.

    Take the Yuan Clan for example: If a male child was born into the Yuan Clan, obviously he would bear the surname Yuan. If a male was adopted by a member of the Yuan Clan, he would similarly bear the surname Yuan. If the surnames were varied in the name list, Yuan Shang would more than likely have a son with a surname like named Bei or Wei or Yan which, to me, is unacceptable. I'm more willing to limit the surnames, in light of that, and deal with captains all having the clan's surname.

    No they will not be. Patches will not take in consideration save game capability, so the next one could or couldn't be.

    For some reason I can't download the patches. I know it isn't my internet -- I downloaded the mod. But Mediafire keeps "starting" the download and then stalling, then ends with "Network error."

    Is this a Mediafire issue, is anyone else having it, and are there any other host sites available?

    Sometimes Mediafire acts up. I know I have had to close and re-open several times just to get the download to start. What I do is open the download link in a tab, click download, and if it doesn't download in a few seconds I close the tab then reopen the download link again in a tab and try again.

    Nope, have been trying it all day, on multiple browsers, still no good. Oh well. If they go up on another host i'll try it, otherwise maybe in a few days whatever is causing this will no longer be.

    This is a QuickFix release in ZIP format, simply extract into the Three_Kingdoms main folder.

    - several text entries corrected
    - looping spawn event fixed (fatal when playing Liu Bei's missions)

    Will you add a patch in the feature like i suggested with the unique units like lu bu and so usable in the custom battles ? Dont need to have special features or so only the right icons and the right unit models like lu bu as the general of the rider unit he has in the campaign ?

    Also what the fuq is going on on the picture ? So ing many units are there on the right side o.O

    ah ok , and what about the custom battle idea ? also as asked before somewhere , will you ever fix the walls issue ? Dont know if its present in campaign but in custom battles catapults and so are preety useless

    Modding battle buildings is one of the more esoteric things that you can do in M2TW - there are only a handful that really know what make it tick.
    As to the custom battle models - it would have to be a body guard unit with every soldier having the same look. Or a body guard unit with an officer looking like Lu Bu, both would still have the default general model as well. This is manageable - just not on a high priority base.

    I want a body guard unit with the officers looking like Lu Bu, Taishi Ci and... you know what i mean, i hope you can implement this soon. also i hope you can get the walls fixed as the catapults are preety useless without fixed walls.

    Just wondering if this Quick-Fix fixs the River Siege Battle CTD problems? I'm currently run on Patch 3, since the Siege Battles CTD makes it very unplayable. Nice work btw, loving this mod.
