    Default UI file

I have a question, I see with many mods that the UI file is used in the original MTW2 data file, what kind of file is this and is it bad that different mods overwrite these files?
could it cause problems with other mods?

    Default Re: UI file

UI stands for 'user interface' and as such there is no single file other then perhaps the mt2w.lnt file, but that one only governs positioning of UI elements in the menu, not anywhere else.

Else there are the SD and XML files in the data\ui directory of mods and the dependent graphic (TGA) files are in the sub directories. If you mean this then there is no concern that overwriting will do any harm.

Last not least there is the issue of 'block graphic' where the SD and XML files get copied into the data\ui directory of the main game to resolve that issue, an issue caused in mods that use older code and don't have their own files. Again no concern if these files get overwritten or if a mod has these files.
