Thread: Carthage Reforms Fallback Date

    Default Carthage Reforms Fallback Date

So, I got back into the Carthaginian campaign, and I’m having the classic problem of not being able to elect a war leader since the enemy AI is always attacking and blockading ports, so I’ve never been at peace even when I’ve tried. When is the fallback date for automatically triggering the reforms, since I can’t get them as intended?

I personally think the system needs an update, with the war leader requirement being removed or something. I guess I could just throw my anti-Barcid faction leaders at random enemies until I finally get a Barcid. I suppose the Second Punic War would have gone a bit more favorably for Hannibal if his detractors just kamikazied themselves into spears.

Unrelated question, but how do I recruit the celtiberian Amossoi?

The date-based fallback for the Barcid reform is 209BC.

Carthage can recruit the Amossoi in the Barcid Capital government as long as Sekeiza is independent (ie held by the Rebels or one of the Iberian factions).

Ah, still a long time to go.

That explains the lack of Amossoi in past games, I usually kill off the Areuaki pretty early on to avoid trouble.
