Early Generals Mod v0.2
|
+ Download |
This is a mod that replaces the current european captains and generals with the early era models (seen in the hastings historical battle).
Instructions:
1. Unzip/unrar (whatever you want to call it) the file to any location.
2. Choose to either change the captains, the generals, or both.
3. Copy the unit_models folder into your Medieval II Total War/data folder.
4. Enter the following line into your preferences.cfg file:
[io]
file_first = true
That should be it.
Post here if you have any problems.

i have some problems with running your mod. I've downloaded it and installed using your descrition (I've made unit_models folder in data folder, copied into this folder files for generals and capitans and edited my *.cfg file) but I can't see any changes. Generals and capitans look the same. Do you know what could be wrong? |

Hey great mod, however to answer 'attyla's' query i believe that after u edited the cfg file u havent saved it, see the file will go back to its original (read only). I modified it in the basic 'works' program and it ok now, HOWEVER every time i want to play the game i have to go back in to cfg, retype the [oi] code etc and then start game immediately after. It appears that when i reboot my pc it deletes the added code. So my question is, how do i get it to permanately stay there, except for that, the mod is great...it was my biggest pick with graphics. cheers |

Hey nobody has answered to my question but I found it my self.....typing the [io] file_first = true into the preferences of any other mod works perfectly... |

nice job ! thx 2 your textures, I am creating a cavalry unit 4 many european factions with this model. The trouble is that they won't have lances, nore shields, & will all look the same -_-°, but i wanted 2 have norman helmeted units sooo much !!! If any one interested in having this wack but at least norman helmeted unit, tell me so I can put it on downloads. |

does this just change the skins of the generals or does it replace the bodyguards with william's mailed knights from the battle of hastings? |
