Here are a few samples of the post-Baroque/pre-Classical style Galant prevalent in North Germany during the 1730's and 1740's. So many of their names are lost to history due to the shadows of Bach and Haydn before and after them, respectively, but they remain dear to us nonetheless!

    Johan Agrell, Swedish:

    Sinfonia in A major: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ehty1...eature=related
    First sonata for Harpsichord: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y5dbv...eature=related

    Johann Christian Bach, German:

    Sinfonia in D major: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TfJwz...eature=related

Are there any others we might wish to add to this in-between time?

Ah, Johan Agrell! He was very famous in Hessen in his days, where he worked as Conductor at the Royal Court. It's a shame that he merely gets any appreciation from the baroque-listeners of today, being so unknown It is sad, as he was a brilliant composer, if you ask me.

I have an entire Youtube channel dedicated in large part to this little known period.
    I prefer vocal music though.
