Is Anti-Communism an ideology at all?

I would argue that it isn't. If you look at two of the major anti-communist movements in the early 20th Century, the Spanish Nationalists and the Russian White Army, you'll find quite a mixture of factions that were often opposed to each other but united against the communists. For example:

-Religious factions oppose the state worship of Communism as a false idol
-Nationalists and Fascists oppose the internationalism of Communism
-Capitalists, and classical liberals oppose the destruction of freedom in Communism

But then you find that the Classical Liberals are often at odds with the nationalists and fascists who want to control the economy who are in turn at odds with religious factions, again for state worship etc.

Well, yes, I'd have to say you're quite right.
The White Movement itself had anti-Bolshevik communists, after all.

Fascists are socialists of a non-communist breed. They fight against communists mainly because they are both competing for the same type of minds.

I thought Fascists were completely pro-big business and privatization of public services.

The basis of the claim that Nazi Germany was capitalist was the fact that most industries in Nazi Germany appeared to be left in private hands, but private ownership of the means of production existed in name only under the Nazis and that the actual substance of ownership of the means of production resided in the German government. For it was the German government and not the nominal private owners that exercised all of the substantive powers of ownership: it, not the nominal private owners, decided what was to be produced, in what quantity, by what methods, and to whom it was to be distributed, as well as what prices would be charged and what wages would be paid, and what dividends or other income the nominal private owners would be permitted to receive. The position of the alleged private owners was reduced essentially to that of government pensioners.

I think it is, but it's not this, it's more like a totalitarian dictatorship.
