Well because pirates were so cool and friendly folk they had a cooling effect that kept the worlds temperature just right until they were so wrongfully forced out of existance, attempts to recreate their coolness has gone horribly wrong with somalians completely misunderstanding the pirate code of love, parties, booz and boobs
