Character Profiles

I figure we might as well have our characters ready and fleshed out before the game starts, given that we now have a rough idea of the clan's history and mythos. It would be nice if everyone had one Brunder main character, even if it's not your primary main character. Not mandatory though; Øybjorn's cousins would be good candidates if you decided to go for it.

Other than that, there's a vast hodge-podge of potential to choose from, including Gunnar, Hellveig and lord only knows what else. According to the current game rules, your primary character will begin the game with one small farm. None of the other mains will own land at that point. I'll provide a basic sort of template that can be filled out and later re-used for the first posts in our home threads:

Main Characters Øybjorn Siggason Age: 35 (Born 665) Rank: Jarl Married: Yes Children: 4. Holds: x1 small farm, x1 fort. Retinue: 15 Hirdsmen (Jarl retinue), 50 Hirdsmen (fort garrison). Bio: Øybjorn is the current Jarl of Clan Brunder, as agreed by his kinsmen at the Clan-Thing. As the sole surviving heir of Siggard Magnusson's bloodline, he led the Brunder clan across the sea to Viken in 681. At the time aged 16, he was heavily advised by his uncles. Over the following years, he was to show an aptitude for military command, leading the campaign against the belligerent Gunnar Clan and eradicating them. Øybjorn was also to gain a diplomatic claim to the Hellveig clan, after his marriage to Chieftain Yrsa Jofridson's daughter left him the sole male heir to his lands.
