Any new information on the possibility of sound effects modding?

I would like to replace these UI sounds with something a little more subtle. I don't remember anyone having success using FMOD to replace sound effects, so with a new modding summit and a new game, has anything changed? Is anyone actively trying to implement new SFX into the game?

I was thinking about trying some voices for it, hard to say until they release the tools.
