The Second Release: What to Expect
I can't say when we plan to release the second version but I think it's about time for you people to know what to expect in the second release of the mod:
Two new factions: Ayyubid Sultanate and Sultanate of Rum.
About 73 new units (including the ones for the two new factions) that expand the time-frame of Medieval Kingdoms Total War to about the first parts of the Hundred Years War. This brings the total number of units to around 205.

Most of the current units have been revamped or adjusted to make them more unique and distinct to their respective factions. Some units have been changed to be a high era unit like the Zweihander and Venetian Heavy Infantry.
New unit cards and loading screens.
New armor and weapon values that should make battles slightly longer.
Polearm units have been given the "pike phalanx" ability and have been buffed.
The aforementioned pike phalanx has been changed so it more closely resembles Medieval 2.
Fixed the faction assignment issue that was causing some people to not get certain factions. Basically this was because some of the factions were on DLC faction slots.
Other minor bugfixes and tweaks.
I think that that is it. Stay tuned for more promotional stuff throughout this upcoming week.
Re: The Second Release: What to Expect
lookin great! any news on a campaign?
Re: The Second Release: What to Expect
A campaign is indeed planned, but in Total War: Attila, which has a great many additions that will better suit a campaign in medieval Europe. We're still taking stock of everything campaign-related that's available for us to work with, but rest assured that we'll let everyone know when we can give a date for its release.

Where is download link?
I think its not even finished right?
Re: The Second Release: What to Expect
Archers shoot well too slow...English French foot knightly retinue look like everyone else rather than being tier 3 fully clad knights like in the medieval 2 title. Other than that i did enjoy the mod so far.
Re: The Second Release: What to Expect
Think bill-men should be non pike unit and make french voltigure unique pike unit for France. yet weak against missiles like late bowmen balancing things out. have bill-men chopping away like foot knights but less amour and melee capabilities and attack.
