Hansa
Hanza "hansa" (fem., O-base) crowd, detachment. A division of the tribal army (harjis) of the Gothic Bible was the hanza, a detachment whose number and place in the structure of the army remain completely uncertain. Hanza could have meant so different in strength military formations as a manipula and a cohort, and simply an indivisible group.
Hansa - in the Middle Ages, this Old Gothic word was the name of the trade association of German merchants abroad, which arose for mutual help and protection; for the same purpose, separate treaties of German coastal cities were concluded with each other.
Leihta hansa
