The Curator, in an excess of zeal, deleted the messages but refused to provide a proper reasoning. Stanley asked the Curator why his messages were deleted but the Curator refused to answer any PMs by Stanley and instead asked the Admins to ban Stanley from posting in the Prothalamos.
The admins decided this was abuse of power and tried to remove the Curator from office but rolled a 1 on the dice check and it resulted in critical failure. The Curator responded by removing all Admins from the Citizen user-group, not knowing that Admins can post anywhere anyway, and started a VonC against all site-admins.
It's impossible to VonC an admin, only GED has the authority to remove an Admin from office, not even other admins are allowed to remove other admins.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
Thank you very much. Was kind of you to put it like this :)
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
I was always hoping something like this would happen and someone who is more interested in the TW environment would take control of this forum. Or, have the orcs arrive in Khazad-dûm?
Pics to follow.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
You dont check in for a couple of days and the whole place goes to
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
We'd rather engage in lengthy discussions about how to save this site than participate in a fun stupid contest (also unique to TWC) that increases participation and a sense of community. Yes, this site is doomed.

I honestly have issues in identifying members worthy to be nominated in all those categories.. sure there still are worthy members, but even with reduced categories I'm still in trouble. :dunno:
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
you can just copy my nominations :surprise:
you know a good leader, staff member or someone of good character. I understand that there are only twenty individuals here, but this is sad.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
I'm not Giorgia Meloni, I don't copy from people who are better than me ...
:shifty:
(but yes, you already pretty nailed everything down with your nominations)
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
What?!, how, I got good candidates lines up for em all! And I barely qualify as being active xD Your welcome to ask, I'll link you highlight stuff, that that seems unprofessional and leading too-- Theyre there ;P

As far as I'm concerned, the same reasons apply that have been making elections a farce. With so few participants these awards are too personal to live up to their name.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
Indeed, it is a shame to receive a prize based on the voting of, say, half a dozen participants, but I dont think it is too personal to say that Abdulmecid's work is amazing or that Narf or Alwyn display exemplary behavior. Are you talking about cronyism when you say "too personal"?
Not sure if thats what you are saying, but not participating because few people participate is a pretty weak argument.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
They are illuminating as for how, or if the awards will be handled the following year.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
Given the participation (moi) you should probably cancel them right now, without even waiting until the tenth.

Just put whoever. The site awards were never based on merit.

The site awards were never based on merit for some. I have always voted based on merit, I have done the same this year.
I insist, based on the participation (and the spirit, "Just put whoever") perhaps it is better to cancel it right now.,
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
You claim you have but in reality you haven't. You voted for who you think might merit, and who you think might merit it is always someone you like and never someone you dislike, even if that someone maybe merits more objectively.
The site awards are and always have been a popularity contest and subject to recency bias.
Re: Townhall - Curial Commentary and Chat
No, I have nominated and even voted for people I don't like.
