Hords explained in detail (nomad factions dont need to own settlements), Huns will be playable, factions showed, satrapies will be more important and other stuff.

It's not broken, here videos are inserted a bit differently: Inside the Youtube brackets you put the part after the "=": [YOUTUBE*]_OO9bmTnIJw[/YOUTUBE*] without the asterisks of course. edit: I start to think that there's no horde mechanism, some factions of R2 didn't need any settlement to survive, too. Once I made a military alliance with the noble Kingdom of Pergamon, which consisted of two ships and several rusty sailors.

Which is overly complex in comparison to other forums and makes no sence whatsoever!!!!!!!!!!

In my humble opinion the best part of the vid was the pic of the Sassanid guy with that fantastic XVII cent. enormous cap, it's absolutely cool!

The unit behavior scares me in those preview videos; it is essentially exactly like R2 in that the units are like some sort of sticky brick (Multiplayer wise its horrid, not even going to mention how it's like in SP). Though this time I hope CA somehow manages to provide map editing tools, that would be very nice.

Siege of Rome (you can make out the Circus Maximus on the right, and the ruins of the Palatine hill above it. See the distinctive shape of Rome on the minimap):

Looking at all these screenshots of siege battles reminded me of somethings...where are the citizens? CA swore up and down at least a month ago saying we'd actually see the people of the settlements running about and even attacking invading soldiers if you destroyed the buildings they were hiding in. After looking at those screens, I see a ton of buildings destroyed, but no people. I sure hope CA didn't misplace them in the same place Tod Howard left Skyrim's "Radiant Story" mechanics.
