They are allegedly surviving examples, I found no data on their dating, they could be reconstructions...but that is how they looked like when they were built.

Got another machinima for you guys today! A battle scene that's in many respects a homage to the original film on Alexander Nevsky! Yes it's the famous opening of the Battle of the Ice! It's probably still processing at the time of this post so if it looks crappy wait a bit.

This is absolutely epic. Truly a work of breathtaking beauty. The video is vastly superior to CA's own trailers. I loved it. Such excellent music. Brutal, dark atmosphere. It reflects the era wonderfully. I'd love to see a full movie based on this trailer. It was cinematic, in the very finest way. Well done, sir.

Re: Medieval Kingdoms Total War Screenshots and Videos Thread
Indeed an amazing video, but why did you choose to go with an all cavalry Teutonic army?
They had very few knights in their armies, most of the army at that battle were Estonian and Danish infantry, so I was hoping for some mix cultural army to appear :)
Again, breathtaking video, I am just nitpicking a bit as usual :)
If you plan to make more such videos and do not have the time to research a battle, send me a pm, I would do it for you gladly.

I did that way because it was more based on the way it's depicted in the film Alexander Nevsky which wasn't too accurate to actual events. There's a link to the scene I based it off in the YouTube description

Re: Medieval Kingdoms Total War Screenshots and Videos Thread
The dlc-s have nothing to do with our mod, so you will be able to play as any of the factions in our mod, marked as playable

Oh, my bad.
I saw the scene and I must say, properly done representation of the movie.

Another screen of some late period Burgundy units. This time the late version of the Duke himself with an army right behind him.

You should pay attention to the texture of the chain armor, does not look very good on this photo!
Other things look great!

Agreed. You could even jut snatch the texture for CA's chainmail. Otherwise, the helmets, banners, shields, bards etc. all look fantastic! Keep it up!

Made my first unit! Its still a work in progress, but I think the people who have been paying attention to my posts know what faction I made these for (don't draw this unit yet, finix!)
They are allegedly surviving examples, I found no data on their dating, they could be reconstructions...but that is how they looked like when they were built.
Ofcourse they took good care of there armor..
But when they are on a battlefield things get dirty.
