Melee area attack for infantry?

Can infantry units (infantry code-wise) have a melee area attack? Like a plague censer bearer sweeping away all in front of it with each swing.

Assigning the stat "area" to the "stat_pri_attr" line does not crash the game but there would have to be some way to determine how big the units area attack is and to my knowledge there is no such file for infantry. Or non-elephant melee cavalry for that matter.

i dont think it works for anything other than missile weapons and elephants. could be wrong
