Most likely either an install issue (follow the tutorials available carefully, check WarhammerWeekEndtimes on youtube for a video step by step) or possibly an issue with your processor. Modern processors have 4, 8, 16 cores, which can be very powerful IF all of them are put to use. Medieval 2 is an old game, though, and only designed to utilize 1 core, which means a beastly 8 core processor might actually end up weaker than an old single or dual core one with more GHz in a single core.

Thanks for the fast response.
So i looked it up and i have an i3 with 2.4 ghz dual core... not so decent anymore... Always thought all i need is a good load of Ram. Never thought that you need a good cpu for showing lots of pixels... but me no rocketscientist...
Well so i have to wait for a better pc/laptop to experience an epic fight...
btw installation was done perfectly as shown on moddb.

That should be good enough. It's possibly a buggy unit or map. You could try playing a custom battle with loads of Goblins or Zombies and see if that causes a crash.

uh? ok?!? so i should be good?
i have that problem with a few units (cant point them out, not enough time) from skaven, ogres, khemri and wood elves so far (tried almost all races in custom battle (but not every single unit only a solid meshup of almost all factions) so the problem are the units not the map.
btw i remember now that i modded the skaven ratling gunners for more ammo or so... could you be so kind and send me a vanilla version of the export_descr_unit.txt for version 1.0 (didnt installed the 1.01patch)?

Hi everybody guys. I hope this is the right section, and i hope my english is enough understandable ;)
I have a problem about fatal graphic error: i can t start the game cause i get this problem at the beginning of any campaign. When i change my graphic to 1024x768 it works, but all the other times i change that to 1920x1080 I get that kind of error. Any way to fix it?

My copy of the mod was working (mostly, it crashed every 3-5 turns in the campaign), but now it's started running headlong into problems. The big two are fighting with a settlement (even selecting 'Town' in Custom Battles crashes the game) and trying to fight a field battle against Wood Elves in North Loren with an Empire army.
I have no idea what I could tweak to even try and fix this problem.

For custom battles, first select Fort, then Culture, then the settlement level. For everything else, wait for 1.5, we're fixing those crashes.

Something else that seems to correlate: letting a Spy execute queued moves seems to increase the number of crashes.

First: Thanks a lot for this mod.
Second: I have a trouble with saved games ´cause i can´t mod the export_descr_buildings file -for instance, Tercio units in regular imperial armies-. When i try to make this unit recruitable, i can´t load the saved game.
I have experience modding this kind of files for my own joy purposes in different M2TW and even, i modified this file for the first version of Call of Warhammer with success.
The question is simple: can this files be modified and compatible with saved games?

M2 is more finnicky with mods than Rome 1. It doesn't let you modify that file without breaking all saves :(

Well, my experience with M2 is different, ´cause i can modify different mods like the first Warhammer, Stainless Steel, Italian Wars and more...;) and without breaking a saved game.

You have to enable validation setting. But you will have to start new game.

That might help, but it's still easiest to follow the rule of thumb that the majority of changes you can make aren't save game compatible.

i know this is an odd thing but, almost every battle i try and fight in a city, the game always crashes, would you please help?
