I didnt mention them because they are already in the game
Bretonnia also has prophetesses as lords, although they should never be used as faction leaders
Why would you want to play romans vs macedonians in warhammer total war? Just play rome 2.
I'm quite sure no modder is going to create large historical unit rosters just for custom battles,...
Where's Bretonnia? They're the most obvious choice for future DLC
Please tell me when total war has ever properly simulated realistic combat, or even pretended to try. I'd rather have fun siege battles than half-assed attempts at realism that the AI cant handle and...
The starting location is pretty bad though, I've already lost 2 campaigns within 10 turns due to a 2 stack waaagh turning up at my capital. The proximity to the greenskins and the fact that you start...
...Which would not likely have either of those things :p
You're forgetting the knights errant as regular units, the fey enchantress as likely legendary lord, prophetess of the lady as regular lord, and green knight as either a legendary lord or some sort...
Why are people complaining about the 4 factions now? It has been known since announcement that this game would only have 4 factions
I was asking for his motivation, "because he can" is not a motivation:doh:
What makes me think you play total war games? The fact that you're posting on a total war forum was a big hint for me. Why are you wasting your time discussing a game you have no intention of ever...
Source?
I know they're playable in custom battles and expect them to get their own campaign, but I havent read any confirmation of this
So if almost every total war game was terrible why are you even playing them?
yeah like shogun 2 and atilla amirite
personally I dont really weigh bugs in my evaluation, while annoying on release and lazy from the devs if there are a lot of them, most will inevitably get fixed
If I play this game next year the...
That's certainly true for me, I'm completely done with all the whining and nitpicking here
If there were plenty of variations they woudnt have used the same one for 2 of their previews. So you tell me, how does fighting the same battle a thousand times hurt gameplay?
But they said all of the 3 games would be complete and playable seperately, is the second game only going to have an underground map if you dont have the first game?
I fear they will just use the...
for some reason I really want to paint a stirland army now, I love underdogs
I have to say that the hype is coming back for me, I wont buy it on release because my pc is terrible, but I'm now...
Empire troops have been pretty mediocre looking in all footage so far, and considering that all the state troopers will probably use the same skins I'm not really seeing the great quality and depth...
what paradox games have you been playing? In all paradox games I've played all factions were playable from the start, and EU4 was playable and enjoyable from day 1.
OT: if they allow people to...
This is really important, employees of paradox interactive are really active in their forums, it really makes you feel like they actually care about their games and are devoted gamers themselves,...
Arent those factions only part of the age of sigmar reboot? never heard of them in old warhammer
Next up: Total war Napoleon 2, and you even get to play France if you pre-order.
Well at least I still have 2 upcoming paradox titles to look forward to.
they can either:
1. add different playable tribes/ counts etc to the existing races
2. add whole new races in either large expansion packs or small faction packs, I'm definitely willing to pay for...
for me it's the opposite, I think vanilla medieval 2 TW is completely mediocre and forgettable in almost every way, it's the great mods that made me play it for a significant amount of time
the only thing about M2TW I like better than the warscape TWs is the modability, vanilla medieval 2 was pretty mediocre even compared to rome 2 and empire.
Map filled with "rebels", terrible...
sorry, I meant those factions will be the only playable factions
I'm not really buying that they're gonna release a historical TW anytime soon, the earliest I can imagine is more than a year after warhammer. Releasing 2 games within close succesion of one another...
I think it's gonna be one of the largest TW games to date, so you'll probably just have to wait a while for a new historical tw
it will still be somewhat moddable, it will just not have any official modding tools or support (which makes map changes rather unlikely unfortunately)
if the map can be changed perhaps, but otherwise you're probably better off trying it in medieval 2 tw
we know that those factions will be the only 4 factions in the game at release, and when they add bretonnia they will probably/hopefully make them playable, and if they add bretonnia they will also...
I saw someone complain about them earlier so I thought it was a real complaint, but yeah I remember the sandals tread :P
I dont get it, the head might be somewhat larger but otherwise it looks like a complete copy
YES, the current system feels really unrealistic and simplistic, like I'm playing a board game
They can however make settlements more unique by adding area of recruitement units and having different...
when comparing early pictures you're right, but I was refering to the finished R2TW, which we all know did not look at all like the early screenshots. Let's hope that thee models will not lose the...
Considering that flying units, heroes and magic are a thing here and not in CoW I think they have a head start already
Really? I think it looks way better than R2TW, but I skipped ATW so I wouldnt know about that
In any case I wouldnt really mind if they focussed a bit less on graphics and a bit more on the massive...
