Back up files is very easy.

1.Right click on the Folder/File/etc of what your modding. e.g, your modding descr strat, right click on it.

2.Click Copy.

3.Then copy to either to a back up...

Do you know if the mod runs with 1.2?

And did you run 1.2 over 1.1?

Try and re-install it, it might just be something with one of the files.

I am afraid if you didn't you should either get a descr strat off a friend, or reinstall.

I don't think you can fix it once you've deleted stuff on it.

There is a almost 100% chance you were moding RTw.
Were you perhaps editing(fiddling,modding) any of the Rome-Tota War/data/world...
