Man these faction lists look so weak. Most of these factions have like...2 types of infantry or 2 types of missile troops. No way this game has a lot of replayability with such weak roster variety.

Thanks man. If it's just for me then don't trouble yourself, but if more people in the community would like that then maybe it's a good idea.
I get that we want to be historically accurate but I don't speak whatever language this is, and I'd like to know at a glance what factions are in my lands
This mod is pretty hard. I keep getting destroyed about 10 turns in as the Cantabri on normal
Have pikemen/phalanxes been fixed from the DEI version? I know they were kinda broken in that
Sounds good. I love your mod, keep up the great work.
I can't wait to try playing as Rome with those sweet new animations.
Started with Rome 1 Hader?
Medieval 1 with XL mod or BKB Super mod is the most fun experience I've ever had with a Total War game
too bad so much of that atmosphere and soul has been sucked out...
Their games have gotten progressively worse ever since Empire. Imo ever since Medieval 1
Certainly seems like it. I too have lost all faith in CA, but unfortunately the strategy game market is kind of slim. Traditional RTS games are too shallow and simplistic, and the grand strategy...
CA is infamous for removing/scaling back features people liked from their previous iterations. They really seem to have no idea what it is about their own games that people like.
after all these...
Well, I've been playing Total War games since the original Shogun. Right now the peace feature is basically broken, and AI factions don't react to it in any sensible way.
but if you want to share...
the justification CA gave for this is that they wanted to have more field battles and less frequent siege battles. I'm okay with this
it's certainly not the publishers fault that the developer can't make a decent game. The fact is that CA is just not that good of a company. The more complex their games get, the more theyve proven...
I would give CA one piece of advice only: emulate the original Medieval: Total War as that was a good game.
stop removing/scaling back features, stop sacrificing immersion for fancy graphics.
...
We're all aware of the major issues with the game so I won't dwell on those. Playing through the campaign however I've noticed several minor issues that if fixed would make me enjoy the game...
I'll try Dol amroth. I like that they have a nice roster and are close to the action, so I can actually help Gondor stem the tide of Mordor/Harad
what do you guys think are the most fun factions to play as? I tried playing as Imladris but I'm so far away from the action that Mordor just steamrolls everything
Is there any way to zoom the world minimap in? I can hardly see who's where.
I've just gone back to Medieval II. The recently released submod Divide and Conquer for the Third Age mod is some really good, high quality stuff. Way better than anything CA can create at this point.
with the latest patch the AI still isn't very good. Playing as Pontus, every single Eastern faction hates me and never accepts a peace treaty, trade rights or anything... even if they're clearly at a...
I pre-ordered and paid $60 for this game like a sucker
They just need to do something to make the game not boring.
boring is the worst thing a game, especially a strategy game, can be.
medieval I was great, why can't CA just make another game like that. It's been 10+ years of blunders and going steadily backwards
I'm still playing and enjoying. But I agree with the people who say it lacks immersion. To me, the series has removed too many good features and aspects of gameplay, and has steadily decreased...
in my game it seems like the AI is having trouble managing its public squalor. I've had a few big factions form but they inevitably get swallowed up by emerging factions. The Seleucids were very...
misleading title...there hasn't been an OFFICIAL patch 2 yet
And if its compatible with older saves
its compatible with save game files right?
Lol at people still  about steam. Go play a console
How am I playing it then if it's unplayable?
not a 'disaster', perhaps a 'disappointment'
ETW was a disaster for me, I couldn't even load the game for a year after release because ti wouldn't go past the splash screen.

Works fine for me, must suck to be the 2%
Do you guys have AMD/Radeon cards?
If so, get intel/nvidia next time
No, because it didn't fail. I'm having fun with the game and have experienced no game-breaking bugs.
Will these patches all be compatible with older save game files? I don't want to be forced to restart my campaign
I think we should also be able to 'absorb' client states somehow, but perhaps at great diplomatic penalty or something to discourage it. If you want a city from your client state it shouldn't be that...
As far as depth goes I think its been all downhill since medieval 1. I used to love getting high acumen generals in all my cities. I loved developing a general with high dread. Now all the the...
Well I can see the system is still quite broken. I had the Odrysian Kingdom agree to become my client despite having a larger army than me. They took one of my cities, I took one of theirs, then they...

So I guess the next question to ask would be...has ANYONE had a client state betray them?
