Pros:
Rugby
Good at being relatively inoffensive in a global sense
Good at not bending over to the US like the UK or Aus do (i assume this is a good thing)
Good at being reasonably progressive (we were the first country to give women the vote, for example)
Good DIY men
Good at making everyone think our country is beautiful
Good at drinking

Cons:
Too good at being economically left wing (way too liberal with handouts to those who dont deserve/need them)
Too good at farming... which leads to all the damn 'sheep shagger' jokes from the Aussies

My country, the Netherlands, is good at:

- Buildings dikes and floodbarriers
- We also seem to have good beer (though every beer tastes the same to me)
- We are good at being tolerant towards immigrants, although it is not mutual.
- We are good at sailing up the river Thames and destroying the English fleet.
- From time to time we play good football, the last 6 years haven't been that great though.
- We legalise everything we can think of and get low crimerates.

That sounds like patriotic garbage to me. So what if Scotland accomplished some small stuff. It has always been overshadowed by England anyways.

And of course England would not have been what it is today had it not been for Scotland, but that arguement is pathetic to say the least, as it can be used for every ****ing thing. One could say "the US would not be what it is today without California", "Denmark would not be what it is today if it wasn't for Norway" and so on and on. Hell, one could even say Germany had not been the same if the completely unimportant Bauer who lived in the woods had not lived in Germany.

This type of arguing is utterly pointless. Because the US possesses California, Denmark had Norway's resources at its disposal in the past, Bauer lived in the woods in Germany.

I'm not trying to take a jab at you or something but despite all that you said, why do the French have a less than credible modern military history? I've heard a lot of humor about it but I've never seen anything substantial to back it with except the defeat at WWII.
