Super Mod : Tactical

Anyone tried it? Its a great mod and if you own Half Life 2 you can enjoy playing realistic shooting like Rainbow Six and SWAT without paying anything.

I just love this mod! I play it daily

It features:
1. A arsenal of realistic guns
2. Slow Motion just like in "The Matrix" trilogy
3. Iron Sights!(Aiming like with a real gun)
Yes, it means no stupid crosshair but that you need skill and quick reflexes.
4. Downloadable Map Editor/Adder that lets you edit for example maps from CS : Source and decide how many enemies and allies you want.

sounds like an excellent mod, to bad i dont have HL-2 , but i was wondering the guy who made the video dosnt seem to be very good and i cant help my self but be amused by it.

That mod is highly recommended for everyone with HL-2

Damn realistic...And I'd even recommend turning off the "Bullet-time"...

Makes for a very challenging game overall. In this mod...Combine are a threat. Two, three shots...and you're dead.

Its a modification for Half Life 2, you will need HL 2 for this to work.. Im sorry

I do. But where do I put the SMOD folder?

Put it in Valve->SteamApps->SourceMods

I recommend to not play the campaign because its just HL2 with new skins

To play the fun way you need the console:
Right click on the SMOD : Tactical in My Games Menu
and click properties->Set Launch Options and write -console.

If you run SMOD now, you can see the console. Now write map and only a few of them will work properly.(I recommend cs_cabaret and dm_motel)

You need this http://kh0rn3.googlepages.com/home6 to add maps or modify the content of them.

I thought it was incredibly boring to play with a lot on cheats on this mod..... People should instead think logical like: Would you run straight into a room on a killing rampage? No, you peek out and see who you are up against and throw in a grenade and fire with the M4A1 Carbine through the wall

How's the hip-shooting, does the bullets hit exactly where the gun is pointing?

Sometimes. Throwing grenades is a little enmaddening for me. Trying to do some of the HL2 missions is bloody impossible for me. Like...follow freeman...the ground turrets are a pain in the ass like nothing else. Firefights are cool, however, storming buildings is really awesome.

In hip shooting, the bullets will not always hit where you expect it to be (i.e. the center). Move your weapon around with the mouse and you will know what I mean.

Yeah the weapons and accuracy seem also to be more effected by movement...
