Ok now I am very, very confused. Evariste looks like a very suspicious target, but then why is Sim still alive.(And why did noone die in the night?) I still do now want to believe Sim is the mafia. He has been to instrumental in hanging the real mafia to be one of them, eg: a scum cop or a godfather. But now I havfe just thought of something... What if Sim is the serial killer? That is just a possibilty right now though.

My main suspicion is Evariste though. He has not been confirmed by anyone, nor has he even been active.

Well, Estlander (and this goes for you too, Scottishranger), I was confirmed by Sim as innocent, so I hardly see how I could have killed Sim when I had my breath held and fingers crossed all night.

However in this case, it doesn't help you. I was a bit confused in the beginning and thought it's another investigation tool, but instead, it protects the player i select. I wanted to investigate Sim, but luckily, you tried to kill him the same night. This invention not only protects someone, it also tells me who tried to kill him.

Okay, I believe Estlander. I already knew there was a Godfather, and there's no other plausible explanation for nobody getting killed in the night. Either Estlander is a Godfather Inventor (who did what, use his own invention on himself to prevent him from killing someone? mafia can't just choose not to kill) or Evariste is a plain ordinary Godfather. I prefer the latter under the assumption of simplicity of role. Plus it ties into my whole earlier hypothesis: of course choose Evariste to be the one to remain alive if he's undetectable. I vote Evariste, which is a lynch and game over, one way or another. Let's hope . . .

By the way, sapi, experience or not, you should really follow logic and not your gut. I always post like this, anywhere, when playing Mafia or doing something else. That really doesn't give me a higher chance of being mafia.
