Default Weapon of choice (no modern weapons) Please read the OP first.

Your weapon of choice gentleman, medieval only please nothing modern. Include a picture and a reason why.

Cheap...found everywhere...pretty hard...takes no training to use and hey arabs still utilize them regularly today in modern warfare, you just can't beat a rock.

Rotting cow, smelly, diseased, and you can cut abit off for dinner before letting it get rancid and catapulting it at the enemy.

If you didn't say non-modern I would put this down:

    Awesome weapon to shoot...

But Medieval I got to say a Crossbow. Accurate, fairly long range, and easy to use along with decent armor penetration.

You army guys don't get to experience the awesomeness that is the Gulf Machine Gun (portable one). Only Marines get to use those.

If I can think of the name of the weapon I'll post one btw.

Hmmm, good question. I used to play Gladiators with my friends (using bo-sticks and general materials) and I just used whatever I felt like.

You mean the weapon this Army soldier is firing? Known as the M240b

Its cool, but damn its heavy. During my FTX I was an assistant gunner for one and got to carry the ammo, and the ammo is extremely heavy. I also carried the weapon (which is as I said still heavy) and rather do that then carry the ammo.

Hmmm.... When I was with my buddy (whos currently in Boot at San Diego) at this pool function the Marine DI there said that only Marines use the Gulf G (portable one).

The Marines use the M240G instead of M240B (which the Army and Air Force uses). Main difference from what I see is the Gulf doesn't have handguards, thus is slightly lighter, but I imagine harder to carry after extended fire (when the barrels burns your hands if you touch it).

It was a good thirty pounds or so, I had to carry it. Don't know how much the Army version weighs.

Perhaps my comment of no modern weapons needs to be reiterated.

It means no modern weapons, discussion or otherwise.

    but alas

Errr, we're talking swords and shields here dudes, not machine guns (I do like them, I mean, hell I play airsoft for God's sake!). Of course I mean no offense.

    I don't understand.

Oh and btw, my MODERN weapon of choice would be the F2000.

Why? It just plain kicks ass. (FN F2000 w/ x3 Scope and 40mm Grenade Launcher)

As for my Ancient weapon of choice . . . well, I still can't decide, cause I'm good with a whole bunch of weapons (as in real life good)

My Uncle who is a Avid collector of Useless Info. and stuff has taught me How to properly weild a claymore. Very simple, just kill the other Bastard in any way possible as fast as possible. Also I might get alot of flak for saying this, but European war styles make much more sense than eastern ones.

Ultimently, I'm a way better with a Sling. It's simple and rock flying at those speeds are certain Hurt or kill you.

Not a fan of the bigs swords myself, I would rather have a one hander with a shield or a one an a half so I could still swing faster.
