    Icon5 Military unit of choice

    So, seeing that there was a 'weapon of choice' I though , why not also a military unit of choice

    Historical ofcourse, but you can choose modern. So we have a bunch of categories:

    - Ancient
    - early& late Medieval Ages
    - Renaissance up to the early 19th century
    - Modern, second half of the 19th century, WWI & II up to this day

    So i'll start, mines would be the Mamluke cavalrymen

    Ancient: Roman centurion. I have family back then, and I wouldn't mine fighting for the Roman Empire.

    Forget everything else.

    Okay, nice units, pretty interesting everyone

    For the enlightenment unit, I would have probably chosen Napoleons Voltegeurs or the Imperial Guard

    For anyone that was wondering... these numbers are from AFROTC, but I'm sure they continue with the same qualifications in the big leagues. I'm 5'5," unless I'm really 5'3" which some measurements have claimed (I don't know why there's always a discrepancy in my height measurement, maybe I don't always stand straight up):
    Prerequisites

    Pilot/Navigator Qualifications: Interested in flying? See some of the general qualifications below. Once in Air Force ROTC, cadets must obtain a Flying Class 1 Flight Physical.
    Pilot

    Physical Requirements

    * Normal color vision
    * Distant vision – pilots, uncorrected to 20/50
    * Near vision – pilots, uncorrected to 20/20
    * Meet refraction, accommodation and astigmatism requirements
    * Corrective eye surgery could be a disqualifier
    * Have no history of hay fever, asthma or allergies after age 12
    * Meet Air Force weight and physical conditioning requirements
    * Have standing height of 64 to 77 inches and sitting height of 34 to 40 inches

    Navigator

    Physical Requirements

    * Normal color vision
    * Distant vision – 20/200 but corrected to 20/20
    * Near vision – 20/40 but corrected to 20/20
    * Meet refraction, accommodation and astigmatism requirements
    * Corrective eye surgery could be a disqualifier
    * Have no history of hay fever, asthma or allergies after age 12
    * Meet Air Force weight and physical conditioning requirements
    * Have standing height of 64 to 77 inches and sitting height of 33 to 40 inches

    I have asthma too though... dammit!

    5'5" is 65 inches and asthma can be waivered if you have not used an inhaler for one year.
