    - Renaissance up to the early 19th century: Cavalry (hakkapelite) in the Swedish army.

    Modern: Japanese Air-Self-Defense-Forces (They took the F-16 made it better and than sold the plans back to the Americans OMG

    Don't get mad because someone insults your religion. If I'd got 10 cent for every time someone insulted me for being christian I would be a millionaire. Religious feelings must be ignored (The poor Hindus-> half of the world finds the idea of holy cows ridiculous).

    Early; Norwegian soldier with longaxe
    Late; Anyone who get lots of armor and a tent of his own.

    Modern: Computer guy or artillery guy. Not in actual combat.
