I have about 70 surplus generals. So I send my old ones to this fort which I keep infected with plague. It kills off a few every turn.

Oh my Goddess, I have never seen anything like that!

Is that your ScipiiCorp game then? The map looks odd. Is the year really 30568 BCE? or is that some kind of graphical glitch because you have so much money that it is overflowing from the line above the date?

Check out this gymnast from Pontus. Watch him balance himself on a sarissa as he carries the standards of Pontus:

    ^SubRosa

The Scipii game is a basic V1.5 without mods. The whole world had been scipii owned ad Ive been playing the downfall of Rome. Ive retreated from all cities. So the map colour is Rebel owned...all of it except those last few regions in Italy owned by Scipii.

The money is real. At its hayday the Scipii were earning 250,000 per turn. Athens was 17,000 per turn (after paying share of army upkeep).

The date is a bug. In game year 120BC there was a crash to desk top. I couldnt get around it by replays of save doing different things. There are many other examples of players with this problem and no solution. My solution was to use the RomeSage tool to change the date. Thats bugged...it doesnt change the date properly in modern versions of RTW. A byproduct of that bad date is nothing can be built, recruited or retrained.

Another picture...death by the sea. One of the many rebel encounters took place on the coast. Roman cavalry by the sea.

That is the campaign I thought. I call it your ScipiiCorp game because you were playing it long after conquering everything, and were just managing your empire instead. Now that you have given most everything back to the rebels what are you going to do next? Reconquer the world with all-general armies?

Severous, I've never seen such an aberration as a "plague fort". Much less abandoning everything just to simulate the downfall of Rome; why don't you start a new campaign, then?
"Romans not only easily conquered those who fought by cutting, but mocked them too. For the cut, even delivered with force, frequently does not kill, when the vital parts are protected by equipment and bone. On the contrary, a point brought to bear is fatal at two inches; for it is necessary that whatever vital parts it penetrates, it is immersed. Next, when a cut is delivered, the right arm and flank are exposed. However, the point is delivered with the cover of the body and wounds the enemy before he sees it."
