Currently, this is by far, the largest empire I have ever had. A few more years and I'll have Naval Drydocks fully built in Leon and Cordoba. The year is 1499, and while scientists within the known world were just drooling over the new world, the premier factions were dueling it out for pieces of the old East.

When Columbus discovered America, I was defending Constantinople from a Crusade. When word came of the Aztech people, I was destroying the remains of the South Saharan rebellion. And when the last nations on Earth were desperately making their way out to the new world, I made sure they never left the old world.

There you have it, 100 years into the discovery of the Americas and I've just captured Spain and West Africa. I know a few have made it thus far, but I am the latest.

By same time tomorrow morning, the entire world will have fallen.

I just realized it, I thought Rhodes was grey, but it seems more Whitish! :hmmm:

Nearly...just have Rhodes and the New World, and THEN I've truly done it!

I'm not using any Mods, and yes, its the Pope in Rhodes, I think.

I'm sure its very appealing painting the world in the colors of your empire. But surely not everyone is content to be under your rule??? Surely you must be facing civil unrest, mostly in the western nations such as the HRE/France/England sort of places.

Have you had any MAJOR rebellions where you've had to sent a big army to crush them?

Nah that's easilly fixed by having a large garrison in the city or by sending two imams there and convert 50ish precent to Islam, take the city and exterminate. There's no way they will rebelion.

Ah well, i'm still trying to paint the world a glorious English red....but i've since had to start my campaign again after my save file broke down My tactic will be to try and unify Britain & ireland first, before I move onto France.

but I don't entirely agree that I should have to take York & Exeter....surely by 1080, King William in reality had total control over England???

I do what I can, expand the living conditions of my settlements....which is expensive and by the time I want to train military units to expand, I don't have enough money, but, sometimes I dont have enough soldiers to conquer a place, or, in one battle I sent over 1200 against a settlement, bashed down the door with a ram and lost some 750 men in street fighting.....i hate fighting to take settlements. Unless I have heavy trebuchets or something, i'll just starve a place out...unless it takes 9 turns to wait, in which case i would try the heavy handed appraoch with some heavy siege equipment.
