I don't know what you're doing wrong, but yellow and blue light should make white light, and blue and yellow ink should make green
The amount of ink, coupled with the hue and shade, overwhelms the yellow. Pour some of the ink on the paper. Use a wet paper towel and smear it across the page. In the thinner areas it will be greener.
Its because the blue ink doesn't mix with the paper. It simply adds a thin layer of blue over the top.
Try mixing paint. If you mix yellow and blue paint together (as a liquid) you will get green. However, if you paint a layer of yellow and let it dry, then paint the wall blue and it will be blue.
