We got some news on the upcoming TW game!

I think that's great news! I liked the Roman era even more than the Medieval one . I really hope we'll see some naval combat though...

When the developer talks about a follow on to Rome I would be of the opinion he is talking about a follow on to the Rome "engine" which both Rome and Medieval 2 use rather than a sequel to Rome itself (Rome 2).

Anyway, we will see.

With the next TW "engine" I hope they go somewhere different, Napoleonic TW maybe.

Roman era is the most fascinating for me and i love it since i played Centurion 15 years ago. R2TW would be awesome.

MTWII uses the same engine that RTW does, with some improvements.

Now, on the main subject, I don't know how reliable this source of information is, but I wouldn't like a RTWII. It would mean that they are running out of ideas, or they don't want to take the risk of trying something new. It gets boring doing the same eras all the time.

What I would like, would have been a new game in an era except the Medieval or the Roman one, with a new game engine. I wouldn't like to see the same engine for the 3rd time.

Anyways... this is sick, this night i dreamed about Sega announcing R2TW after this summer. And it was going to be released 2008.
I dont usually dream about games, but I played on my russian campaign for 6 hours yesterday before I went to bed lol

You must be practically a wrinkler, like me, because I remember said game well(it was easy).

Well if this rumor does turn out to be true, regarding Rome2 and naval combat is a strong consideration, then it's 'ramming speed'.

The Roman era is WAAYYYYY more interesting than the medieval. To me anyway.

I've always thought that naval battles were a direly needed aspect of the game.
