Thread: Army Size

    Icon11 Army Size

If your computer can handle it, is there any advantage in upping the army size of the battles? I mean obviously the battles will be longer but lets say if you had 2 battles with the exact same army composition, would they turn out differently? I heard that in some battles they do. : / And last but not least, does it at all affect the difficulty? As in make the battles harder?

Any feedback on this would be greatly appreciated.

i guess with more cavalry there are more deaths from a charge, especially in a target rich enviroment that more troops on field represents

one of the things, if you are defending city or castle, playing on huge, you may have problems placing archers on the walls, etc, but then again its better if you are using spears on the gates or streets, since they are gonna be much deeper and wont lose formation so fast. My suggestion, play on large

And yes what the above poster said GED, you go to options, then GAME SETTINGS (or option) and there you can choose army size.

Rather the reverse - the larger the formations the less effective Cavalry charges are. I am a cavalry dweeb but I still play on the largest size because the game looks 'cooler'.

im using huge army size because i like huge battles, because my comp can handle them and because 120 longbowmen are more fun than 60
