No. I ran XGM through the Rome.exe for a while and it still had all of those features, don't believe me try it yourself or ask DBH.
"So there I am, in Sri Lanka, formerly Ceylon, at about 3 o'clock in the morning, looking for one thousand brown M&Ms to fill a brandy glass, or Ozzy wouldn't go on stage that night. So, Jeff Beck pops his head 'round the door, and mentions there's a little sweets shop on the edge of town. So - we go. And - it's closed. So there's me, and Keith Moon, and David Crosby, breaking into that little sweets shop, eh. Well, instead of a guard dog, they've got this bloody great big Bengal tiger. I managed to take out the tiger with a can of mace, but the shopowner and his son... that's a different story altogether. I had to beat them to death with their own shoes. Nasty business, really. But, sure enough, I got the M&Ms, and Ozzy went on stage and did a great show."

I'd like to suggest Seargants (both mounted and not) to be added as units for the Knightly Orders, they formed the bulk of the armies at that time, and for the Hospitallers to also receive Crossbows. The lack of them makes the Hospitallers rather obsolete compared to the other orders.

Also, do we really need a Native American faction? If they were replaced with rebels (very high in number, of course), we could open up a faction slot for Aragon, Venice, Norway or some other nation.

the muslim factions all have the same units

    muslim warriors

    muslim swordsmen

    etc...

    same with christian factions

    armoured sergeant...

    feudal knight

i think that we should make many more faction specific units

Is it possible to remove the Mongolians in some of the earlier campaigns and still stay within the 21 faction limit?

If so, here's what factions I suggest for each campaign:

    Early Medieval Campaign (1080):
    Kingdom of England
    Kingdom of France
    Kingdom of Castile
    Kingdom of Poland
    Kingdom of Denmark
    Kingdom of Sicily
    Kingdom of Scotland
    Kingdom of Hungary
    Kingdom of Milan
    Holy Roman Empire
    Crown of Aragon
    Almoravid Empire
    Emirate of Tunisia
    Kwharezmian Shahdom
    Abbasid Empire
    Ayyubid Sultanate
    Kievan Rus'
Byzantine Empire (Or the Roman/Greek Empire, however you want to call it)
    Kingdom of Portugal
    The Seljuk Turks
    Rebels

Crusader States Campaign (1190? Can't remember):
    Same as above.

'Standard' Campaign (1238, although I suggest moving it to 1258 so we can replace the Abbasids with the Mongols):
Same as above, but with the Mongol Empire instead of the Abbasid Empire.

    Late Medieval Campaign (1450?):
Same as above, but without the Kievan Rus' and the Kwharezmian Shahdom. Instead we could have a Native American faction or something else.

Native American faction sounds lovely and you could probably borrow a few units from the still in development I:TW.

Hi,nice suggestions,Native American faction is existed in RM2.
Ragnos,we cant call the factions with more than one name in the whole Mod.
so the abbasids are abbasids in all the campaigns, and we cant change their name when its different campaign.

    Thanks

I don't mean changing the name, but replacing them with a totally different faction. In the case of the Abbasids, the Mongols.

Or we could just keep the factions we have now, but replace the Native Americans with Rebels (giving them native american units of course) and with the freed-up faction slot include the Crown of Aragon, which I insist should be in the game since it played a major role in the western part of the Mediterranean.

That said, Mongols shouldn't be in the first two campaigns, and the Abbasids and Kwharezmians shouldn't be in the last one (defeated by the Mongols).

I wouldn't mind seeing different units for each faction, too many "generic" units.

Some new Formations? For example M2TWK - the knights have some cool new formation..
The damage deal by all units should be reduced for mo realistic battles, and cavalery charge is too strong and also should be reduced. Also I think the sounds should be change (general)(Advisor)(and other small stuff)More maps for Costume Game and other minor stuff.I think these things should be done..Thanks.
    Best Wishes!

I do believe that medieval heavy cavalry was extremely destructive, a single well executed charge could easily crush the opposition. That said, they should be made weaker in prolonged combat (by lowering the attack value maybe?), since they were in a fairly vulnerable position from which to strike down.
