Hesus,
Thanks very much, this will be most useful in my next campaign of SPQR, and the use of screen prints is a wonderful idea, so I know how to position

nice to see the anti-gaul-tactic also in this guide. but i do want to tell you that you could try the following as i think it better when you're facing gauls: put all your units the same but put your hastati in a foor men deep block so that the gaps between your hastati units wont be to big. i normaly even make my hastati and principe line only 3 men deep and close the gaps all the way. but i think i will try your tactics to as they are more realistic

i tried your formation against the gauls and i love it its the same when it comes to kill/death ratio but it look much nicer and its more realistic so i think im going to stick with it troughout my campaign. tnx allot!!

every thing depends on how fast you react, i mean keep your units moving. furst use your cav to deal with missile units afther you destroy them use them to attck wavering units. so act fast and you will have a lesser death rate. i normaly have some thing around the 10 or 15 %

"Good luck with your game, don' t forget to save the game at important points like when you will start fighting an other armie becous you probebly will need to try over a few times when you attempt to fight hannibal.
Don' t forget to laod your script if you play with it."
Is it not against the houserules to reload saves just because you loose a battle?
if you play by houserules it is, but this guide is for the new players of spqr and thy always underrate Hannibals power. And most players need to retry a few times becous thy will first play this game whitout the houserules. so it is more like a tip to save and laod it just to save some time.

looks like a great mod... lol it will probably cause my slowass computer to self destruct =p
Im not entirely sure but i have some old memory that when hannibal was first introduced (6.4 perhaps) starting in italy he was alot more agressive then now. Which made it more diffcult since you had to act alot more quicker.
Hannibal is still agressive, start a new campaign and don' t move your legions you will notice he will attack Reghion or Paestum and assault it.
