Glorious (2022)
Why is J.K Simmons in this crap?
@Narf: as a Kafka reader, I can't have a positive view of it

Spaceman
Adam Sandler hugs a spider in space.
That's it, that's the whole movie.
Also, this:
Perfect Days
Very monotonous & sad.

A Streetcar Named Desire
Tragic film, heartbreaking end.
Everyone talks about how great Brando was in this one, but I believe
Vivien Leigh gave a monumental performance.
So complex.
I am shook.
Poor Things. Awesome. Will be no doubt one of my favourites this year.
Poor Things
Watched it for Emma Stone, essentially.
Terrific.
Turned me into a feminist.
Hm, I have watched 4 films by Lanthimos (Dogtooth, his second one - don't recall the title now -, Killing of a Sacred Deer and Poor Things). I personally found Poor Things to be the worst of the ones I've watched - the best being by far Dogtooth, and Sacred Deer in second place.
The taste of things: food porn 1900's style. Can't be more french. When I was a kid that were the kind of sunday lunches at my grand father's.
Saltburn
What do the Rich fear Most?

Dune Part TWO
Flawless 10/10.
Perfect movie.
I too, vote for Lisan al-Gaib.
Master of the skies: too much cgi, characters are too noble, doesn't reach the high of band of brothers.
All My Friends Hate Me
Uncomfortable to watch.
Loved every minute of it.
10/10
Civil War (2024).
It was ok. Watchable.
But the marketing for it (trailers) was very misleading. This has very little to do with a US civil war, since the presentation of the actual war is not just sidelined but minimalistic.
Late Night with the Devil.
This was meh.
I'd say that what it had going for it was the girl, but as I am unsure if she is >=18 or not (?), it can't be a focus.
I tried to watch Nope (some Peele horror movie), but it simply is lame.
Some of the cinematography is fine, the story itself... nope.
La Chimera. another film that will probably be among the five best of the year for me. (Viva Italia).
Do you remember him from the 90s? (pretty boy from the Faculty and a few other teen movies).
Italy's having a resurgence in movies with some younger authors going into themes not common for us or even some crossover (i.e. horror/comedy). Can't say I watch many new movies in general, I'm more into series, you know the age when the comfort zone is the only thing that really matters.
