Don't get me wrong - I like the show and their creative thinking, but I doubt any peer-reviewed scientific journal would accept anything they ever did due to their methodological flaws...

example though? I can think of only one example, when they were firing chickens at airplane windshields to test if a bird can really kill a pilot, they made the mistake of not using the windsheilds that were graded for bird strikes.

But they admitted their own mistakes and then went back to test it again with the proper windshields.

Its not beyond me, we were talking about nerdiness and I explained that nerds and outcasts are our people, and that we shouldnt turn those words into negatives.

@BpT: I can't give an example as I'm a very irregular watcher, but they often lack proper control experiments and most of all, statistics...

But as i said, I'm not trying to make a point here.
