I have no idea what the background lore is all about or if it is related to some pre-existing literature, so I will not commenton the size difference between the musketeers and the big guys in the lamellar armour.
But I can comment on the (lack of) expected effects of the proportionately oversized edged weapons of the "samurai" guys.
That is to say I expected to see an ample amount of gore.
All in all the time, skill and effort that was put into this is commendable.
    Well done, mate!

Wow! That's really cool. The quality is really good, especially of the roof that the soldiers are on.

It took me a few seconds to notice the difference between that post and the previous one. Bloody slow brain
    Anyway, good job.

Well in that case, I guess you don't have a choice.

It's funny that you mention the size of the mountain giants (Argell) because it was actually one of the difficulties I faced when sketching up the concept. I had always imagined the Argell as only a few feet taller than the average human, more like High Elves really, but such a 'trivial' height difference made for a totally confusing composition as it was difficult to tell if something was just closer to the observer, or larger than a human. And I was also limited in the sense that I couldn't have them stand out by means of the typical fantasy tropes of giants i.e. horns, massive bellies, barbaric appearance etc. So larger they grew! In the end, I don't think it's impossible to imagine that a painter in this fantasy universe, aiming to depict the desperate nature of the situation, would oversize the adversaries of his compatriots. Human allies also had to be added to give some much-needed scale comparison to the giants in the areas of the painting where the industrial infantry was not present.

That is to say I expected to see an ample amount of gore.

Also, I forgot to post this a while back:

If by literature you mean the background story and universe, yes; if by literature you mean that there is a book (or three) out there to read, then no, not yet

Also, what is this, a WIP preview for ants?

Thank you y, here's something else

Not much lore here though, it came about through inspiration. Featuring the burial of a Dwarven Emperor.

Pity that he died so young, with all of his hair still on his head and full in their colour...
I like that you had a guy chanting their farewells too, though for an emperor I would expect a choir.

    Thanks!

I've also tried my hand at animation a few times, this one is from a project that will probably never be finished (my technique has evolved since this was made, well over a year ago), so I might as well publish it:

    Thanks guys!

Here's something of peripheral importance as art, but if you're interested in what I base my seemingly 18th century fantasy drawings on:
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:

I actually make these rather expansive lore plates for reference while drawing, so the uniforms and symbols make sense within and between each piece. I've also got a map coming up, but it's too early to show.
