Just spent over and hour writing up a considerably-detailed AAR for my entire campaign, and lost it because TWC logged me out while I was writing it. I'm livid.
So here are the pictures at least:
Thracian Frontier.
Dalmatian Territories.
Gallic Frontier.
Iberian Territories.
Typical Legion. Allied Italians converted to three Principe cohorts to replace three outmoded Hastati cohorts. Three auxilia units to be recruited in the field to replace the role of the Allied Italians.
Faction leader Quintus Coruncanius. Imperator since the 2nd Punic War. Uses great Republican families for equal and dispersed governance in the provinces.
--Macedonicus in the East, who are loyal and govern well.
--Curius in Iberia, who know their job and do what needs to be done.
--Gallicus in Gaul. The true wild cards, they are made up of great generals, deserters, and would-be usurpers. With Coruncanius' advanced age, no one can guarantee the Gallicii won't set their sights on Rome itself after the conquest of Gaul.
Battle of Alesia. Gauls tried to stop Gallicus the Victor and his army one last time south of their capital.
Spoiler Alert, click show to read:
The Greeks tried to reconcile with the Republic. It didn't work.

i'm wondering what difficulty you play on ^^ you are the first i saw to have 288000 denari :O

I'm playing on M / M. I normally go H / H but I think I remember seeing that you play tested it on M / M in one of the threads so I figured that'd be the most balanced
I do control all of the mediterranean naval points except for the one by cyprus and I control the one in the Black Sea if that helps explain it.

yeah that clarifies a lot

I mean it's only necessary to control Mare Nostrum, isn't it

Ladies and gentlemen I give you the Rhine Frontier :
I can't wait to get legions stationed along there but the Reforms are so far away

Well I've been infusing them with massive denarii payments trying to get them to roll up the Seleucids' eastern frontier, but they have them at a standstill.
I thought that area would remain pretty balanced but out of nowhere they just absolutely crushed the Ptolemaics over the course of a decade. Ptolemy really only has Cyprus now and I'm more or less obliged to invade Egypt as it's the easiest point of attack against the Seleucids from a strategic standpoint as landing in Asia Minor would be suicide.

@ Varyag what version of rome are you using?
For King and Country
Every one I give you
King George his most Britanic Majesty
The fighting 95th, First in the field and the last out of the Fray
Why don't they have a Prussian Flag instead of German
I was using Alexander.
I stopped playing it for a bit, but when I start back up I'll post my most recent state of the empire. Now that Pontus has been eliminated, I've got the Armenians making regular large-scale naval invasions all along the Tracian Black Sea coastline...I've had to deploy multiple brand new legiones just to repulse them, but it's damn fun, even in this advanced stage of that game
The only problem I have is that my faction leader refuses to die! He's at least 120 years old at this point...
EDIT: Also if you can barely notice from the last screen I posted, our classis has circumnavigated Britannia as well
