    I have no other mods. It may be worth noting that I am playing as a constitutional monarchy, and that I had some trouble entering my own cities and crossing the borders of my own zones on the turn of changing from republic to const. monarchy.

    I will try another faction, perhaps even a new game as Sikhs, just to check if it is that specific save which is botched.

    It would seem that Punjab/Sikhs is the only nation I am encoutering this problem with.

    It seems the problem is getting worse. I just crashed as Punjab loading in an open field battle.

    Yes there was. During the Napoleonic wars, the Republic of Danzig/Republic of Gdansk became an independant nation. They allied themselves with France and the Batavian republic and had a smallish arrmy with a larger navy.

    Not that good at startpos modding, but I will give it a shot.

    Ps: Whenever I make a nation or a unit, it comes up as blanks. Is there a way of avoiding that?

    Startpos is very easy, only 5' work. I can do that along with the flags. A good set of units it would be good to be prepared. Take a look around for nice textures, there are many good one.

    But I still don't understand how to actually name the factions and units. I can make some pretty successfully (using DB) but they all come up as blanks. Is there a .txt file somewhere that I need to edit?

    Yes, you have to make a separate mod pack, using the localisation.loc from patch_en.pack. Game's text is included there. Check an existing unit and you'll figure out how it can be done. Have in mind that _loc packs must always be type of "movie" and not "mod". Ask if you have more questions but this after you finish with units pack.

    Thanks great mod. Many problems i had with SD1 have been fixed but there is still some left.

    Finland:
    After gaining independence by declaring war on Russia, capturing couple regions and making peace I still don't get full diplomatic rights like I would still be a protectorate, should I totally destroy Russia to gain total independence? This problem is really big one in order to win the game.
    Names:
    Finns are named awfully that time there was still many swedish names in use(especially among the higher classes), I wished to see more of them. But the worse problem is that almost everyones named with two surnames, there is very few named with firstname + surname. If u wish to repair this and need help with names here is one Finn to help, with anything concerning my country.

    Other stuff:
    United States cant recruit in europe.
    I probably forgot something.

    It has been reported and will be fixed. Here is what you can do until next update:

    Open the startpos.esf you'll find in ...\empire total war\data\campaigns\SD\2\ and go in [...]\CAMPAIGN_MODEL\WORLD\FACTIONS_ARRAY\FACTION. The first one is Scotland which actually is Finland. Just enter 0 in the place of the 9 digit number you see in the image below.If you are in the middle of a campaign do the same in your last save or auto_save.

    I'll keep in mind your offer. But first I have to find a way to import a new language group like Finnish. Now I've just replaced Swedish names with Finnish and assigned Finland to use Swedish names.Perhaps that is why there are these problems.

    Campaign with "The two sicilies", first of all I can't land on Malta with land forces & second, CTD when trying to do a campaign battle.

    Do you mean Italian Kingdom? This mod (Risorgimento) does not make any changes in units so I doubt if your campaign battle problem is because of SD 2. Do you
    use any mod unit pack? About Malta it will be fixed in a next update.

    Italian Kingdom it is. Only unit pack I can think of is the special forces edition.

    Is there a reason that like half the loading screens include random nude women in battle?

    Kind of makes me feel insecure trying to play it around other people.

    Great mod by the way, love playing as Finland, awesome AI, the Russians and Polish actually had an epic duel between them, Russia won though, more provinces for me!

    If you mean this:



    it is a painting called "Slave Market" by Jean-Leon Gerome. It is one from about ten loading screens I use in mod. Perhaps AI likes it more and appears it more often than the other, but this random and nothing can be done. If you like you can remove it completely though you could explain to the others around you that this is art and not porn. In this way they will learn about Gerome too. Anyway the loading screens are in data\SD_mod\SD_graph.pack. Open it woth PFM and go in ui\loading_screen_pictures. The image is the no. 2.

    As Haiti, the higher the building level, the less units I'm able to recruit, until the imperial palace which gives the units of the 1st tier building is there a way I can go in and fix this? If so, how complicated is it ?

    This is not possible. Check data\SD_mod\hai_mod.pack and you'll see in building_units-allowed table that units the higher the building level the more units available. Unless there si a problem with your files.

    It is not just Croatia playable, it has new stuff but if you had played Croatia mod you'll know about it.
