I am looking forward to getting this game. Seems as if it's really been improved from the original. Anyone else going to get it?

Lol looks like an Ironman/Halo/Crysis/Crackdown Hybrid.
yeah. Struck me as being similar to Halo, but hey, it looks cool. Even if it is a rip off. And has horrible voice acting.
I enjoyed the first one actually, the only reason I stopped playing was because so few other people did. Though it did take me about a week to realise that 75% of every server I joined were bots, they were quite good.
The dynamic missions worked well, and made it more interesting than just a simple Battlefield style conquest mode, and dropping in from orbit every time you spawned was very fun.
It'll be interesting to see how this turns out, though if it uses GFWL like the last one there probably won't be a big crowd again.
Yeah. I hope it's a Steam game. Windows Live gave me a lot of trouble when I tried to set it up.
I got the impression that the gameplay is more akin to battlefield. They also seem to have a conquest mode.
Is the game a bit like Battlefield?
It is on sale for 10% off on Steam right no, so I would assume it doesn't use GFWL.
Yeah. It works pretty similarly to Battlefield's conquest.
Steam version still needs GFWL for online play, my versions bought through Steam.
Its much more like Battlefield than it is Halo or alot of the other comparisons it gets. Strictly teams with no deathmatch mode. Capture control points to slowly add to your points total and when you get to a certain number you win. Unlike Battlefield there are dynamic missions that popup, such as escort a vip or defend a transport whilst the rest of the game is going on. Completing one of these dynamic missions gives your team a lump of points towards the total.
Much more infantry based than Battlefield (although infantry in this game drops down from orbit, has hyper booster things for clearing the map in under a minute and short use jetpacks) though there is a tank and Mech walker thing you can build for yourself, along with turrets, repair points etc.
With more people I think the game could have been really good, its just a shame that it uses GFWL and that alienates so many people from playing. A game like this on Steam would have had 5 times as many players.
Section 8 was one of the worst games I ever tried...I have no idea how this developer remained operational post-release or even had the funds available to make another one.
I recall playing the very first level of the campaign and it was nothing but a wide open, feature-less, desert which featured "combat" akin to a Halo match with too few players in the room. Maybe these games are fun for MP with a lot of people but I never saw the enjoyment of it.

Well then Section 8 was never my thing from the beginning then...I'm of the opinion that SP is still the most important feature a game should have. In addition to that, if a game is going to feature a SP portion to begin with it should at least put a solid amount of effort into it - Section 8 should have just skipped the campaign and sold a purely-MP based game.

This game looks very fun, and quite polished. Especially for the €2 pricetag.
I think this game could become quite wildly played. Good team based shooters are so rare, nowadays.

It's a good video, some funny commentary, and the game looks totally awesome.
Tripple posts FTW!
No seriously just wanted to bump this, since it was released today.
Nice game, quite hard.
