    Thanks!
Also I found the motto. It's Amor patriae nostra lexin latin, so in my bad translation to english it should be like "Love to our homeland, our law".

@Irish blood: Pretty sure that statement isn't true mate, might be true in Ireland, but here in Denmark I know no one, who actually has a Coat of arms...

    In Southern Europe neither.

    Could anybody translate "Per ardua"?
I may be wrong, but it's half of the latin motto "Per ardua ad Astra", wich means "to [reach] the Stars by [accomplishing] hard tasks".

Per ardua is the first half of the motto of the royal air force 'Per Ardua Ad Astra' which is 'Through Adversity to the Stars'. So 'Per Ardua' is 'Through Adversity'.

You are making me jealous. That`s it! I will contact my family in america and will ask them whether they know something about our origins. I have already found several coats for families with the surnames of some of my ancestors (3), but i won`t claim one of those without having some evidence to back it up.

By the looks of my family crest one of my ancestors really liked elephants. I'd quite like to make my own family crest though - my maternal side are called colombi and so i guess my personal crest would be a column on a sandy beach! Heh

@Danscall Adversities. It's plural. And Stars can be interpreted as "great deeds", so let's say
    "to great deeds through adversities"

Not saying there isn't any, but I think it's more widespread someplaces, like the UK and especially ireland/scotland, than others, it is atleast not a common thing amongst the people I've met..

I have a strange name, Haldon, so unfortunately no coat of arms. However, for the Anglicised version of my name, there is this:
