Wurttemberg Grenadier Garde zu Pferde (Mounted grenadiers)
missing swords
Sorry for long time without comments. I'd planned to correct bugs during my christmas vacation.... But I've been sick since last friday.
I've only started today.
- France cannot recruit Hesse Darmstadt units --> fixed
- Wurttemberg mounted grenadier guard have invisible sword when fighting --> fixed
- Cemaat light janissaries have invisible swords when fighting --> fixed
- Ottoman organ guns have a placeholder uniform from ETW in campaign --> fixed
- Ottoman artillery have a black wheel in the carriage --> fixed; The wheel texture comes from the "Howitzer_diffuse" file... And since Ottoman have their own howitzer texture, I did not include the generic one. Turn out it is required to avoid black wheel in the limber.
- Ottoman marines with black textures --> fixed
Problem solved!
Using PFM, I changed the building name for Regiment Joseph Napoleon. It should be this building:
MoE_Main.pack----->db----->building_units_allowed_tables----->MoE_building_units_allowed:
sArmy_Infantry_1 MoE_Inf_Line_Spain_JN_Infantry_JosephNapoleon_1808_Spain
sArmy_Infantry_2 MoE_Inf_Line_Spain_JN_Infantry_JosephNapoleon_1808_Spain
sArmy_Infantry_3 MoE_Inf_Line_Spain_JN_Infantry_JosephNapoleon_1808_Spain
sArmy_Infantry_4 MoE_Inf_Line_Spain_JN_Infantry_JosephNapoleon_1808_Spain
sArmy_Infantry_5 MoE_Inf_Line_Spain_JN_Infantry_JosephNapoleon_1808_Spain
I am playing a "Historical" Grand Campaign as Russian Empire and here are some of my observations:
-Basic Russian kazaki cavalry loose men even when running down shattered infantry, which I do not recall from vanilla game.
For example, given medium unit sizes, a 40-man squadron crushes into a retreating 8-man artillery crew squad, losing 3 men. Next, experiment gave a loss of 2 men when running down 50 shattered Turkish swordsmen.
-Missing building names:
Educational Building in Nizhny Novgorod, Moscow;
Intelligence Building in Kuldiga, Courland.
-Turkish mortars have very flat projectile trajectory (instead of the theoretically appropriate highly parabolic trajectory with short range due to short barrels). My troops were getting pounded to pieces at insane distances by the explosive shells.
I suppose this should be an effect to be expected from howitzers?
I also wonder whether you have plans to include some sort of playable micro-campaigns for factions, which are currently emergent only, such as Duchy of Warsaw.
On the final note, I am absolutely loving the mod! It feels more complete than any strategy/tactical experience in TW games I've had! You, good sir, are doing remarkable things worthy of all the praise!
I'll try to have a look at these bugs.
I'm sot sure losing units even when pursuing a shattered unit can be counted as a bug. Seems more morale to think that you still takes a little risk when pursuing enemy. Better than knowing you can safely slaughter hundreds of guys by stabbing them in the case with complete impunity!
I don't plan to add emergent. This would mean making several campaigns, I don't have time for that, I can not even find time to finish the few missing factions!
However, if you occupy Poland as France for example, you can recruit Polish units. And you'll see maybe more than of Poland was there from start.
While playing the Grand Campaign as France I was surprised that I cannot recruit this unit:
At start of the campaign 1805?
The Carabiniers uniform was changed to cuirass and helmet in 1809 only.
Before they have a coat and bearskin
Look at the army list below. You can see that Carabiniers or Chasseurs a cheval have uniform evolution, while Hussars or Cuiassiers do not. And also notice that the Lancers are not available in 1805, they were introduced in 1811 only.
Late roster
Early rosteer
If you are in 1810, it is indeed impossible to replace the old one with the old uniform. You could only get the new one
They are enabled the same dates as artillery of the Young Guard
.
They required the "cavalry barracks" level 2.... and are recruitable only in Alsace Lorraine.... where it is not possible to have cavalry barracks level 2...
There may be a slight issue here.
