Problem after Steam-Update (11/30/2017)

Hi to all,

today I made a 1,2 GB Steam-update (guess the Empire Divided update) of Rome II - Total War and after that my campagne crash everytime I was loading it.

To solve this problem I went to my total war (in my library -> clicked right -> properties -> betas) and downgraded my game to patch _17. Now everything works fine again.

I just post this if anyone who has the same problem and don't know how to repair.

If this solution is already presented anywhere else here in our forum (I didn't see it so far) this post can easily delete of course guys

Hello everyone and Dresden. Dresden i use 1.1 DeI and it crashes all the time. I alos have 1/2 and some times it works some others doesnt. Thing is i like 1.1 way more and i have tons of save games and campaigns with that version that i truly worship. Can u pls pls pls update the changes for DeI 1.1 too?

You need patch 18 now for the mod to work.

What would be the point of updating changes to 1.1 if that would just turn it into 1.2? Also you need patch 18 for those stuff to work anyway. 1.1 is rather unstable so I don't see point in using it. If you don't like some of the stuff like pop or supply system, you can turn those stuff off easily.

Is it on steam workshop? And if i have it and enable out of date mods i will be able to play the 1.1 version like yesterday lets say? Btw, i dont have the new DLC, if it means anything. I thought the update was for the ones who bought it

I dont mean update it. Just do what is needed to be at least playable. I dont know the technical linguo about that sorry 1.2 is not save compatitble with the 1.1 save games anyway and thats the main problem.

We have been at 1.2 for almost a year now, thats plenty of time to have played a save game I honestly don't know what would be involved in making 1.1 compatible with patch 18. I would just use patch 17 beta.

Well i just finished a campaign yesterday with DeI 1.1 . So i have a shot if i enable the 17 beta? Do i need to do something else besides enabling out of date mods?

In theory if you want to use 1.1 you would need patch 17 beta option in steam and out of date mods checked.

i have installed standalone version and enabled beta 17 but unfortunately i cannot play Wrath of Sparta with DeI Mod.
Yesterday befor the new DLC has installed i could play it.

Wrath of Sparta is Macedonian Wars in DeI.

thats strange.. i do not have macedonian wars when i activate DeI.
I have now select on Mod Manager dei_release.pack and dei_release_12.pack both parts and i can play WoS with DeI elements.

1º) Don't use MM, use steam manager.

Otherwise you are doing it wrong.

and I think the problem can be that your parts are now updated for the Patch 18...c'mon man update your game, you are loosing politics overhaul, new UI panels, Banditry and sanitation mechanics, types of goverment overhauled by us...don't get outdated !!

It sounds like you are using a very, very old version of the game and mod which is not supported here.
