many bad performances (not only Orlando Bloom, even Viggo Mortensen is forced to "act ridiculously" many times), many meaningless scenes (why exactly does Legolas kill Grima when he had already stabbed Saruman several times?), Gimli as a comic character (totally unfunny in my opinion), the representation of elves as ethereal beings with stupid filters and slow motion scenes (excuse my dirty mind, but at one point I I asked my self if elves
ed), ridiculous epic speeches (yes Theoden, I'm looking at you)... All the positive things that the movies have (a lot) do not compensate for all this.
Not to mention the infinitely long epilogue that I skipped this last time.
By the way, more generally speaking, this is not exactly about the movie, if my trusted men/nazguls were incapable of killing four hobbits or a simple man, no matter how Numenorian he was, I would have been whipping them for months (and obviously I would have fired them immediately). what an understanding boss sauron
I've been thinking about it this last half hour. Sauron's utter ineptitude. Saruman did more in three weeks than he did in three hundred years. What was that entity doing all that time? hiring mercenaries and raising orcs? video calls with saruman? 99% of the time voyeurism and self-care, 1% of the time planning how to control Middle Earth.
Blame Flinn for the rant. I am a victim of his cunning manipulations.
Seventh edit to this post: Flinn would have been a more effective dark lord than Sauron, clearly
