Weird Fog Thing

Hey! I've been playing Rome 2 and a weird... thing keeps popping up. I don't want to say bug because I'm honestly not sure if it is. Every time I fight a battle, there's this weird fog and lighting that makes it look dark and moody, and sometimes it's annoying. I recently got Empire Divided, and it started after that, so would there be any correlation between these two things? I'd like to get this fixed!

Hi! I've played Empire Divided and didn't see the dark moody fog that you described.

Is it possible that you're playing with nightmare mode turned on? (I found a similar report, and Harper explained how to turn off nightmare mode, if it's on.)
