The Gamespy bug

Basically when steam patched the original Rome total war when game spy went down they somehow broke the siege ai and its been left broken ever since. You can fix this by simply putting the 1.5 patch on for rtw but i'm trying to play Alexander, or rather mods through Alexander, and I'm getting this game breaking siege bug, i can't rollback Alexander as no pre-steam patch was ever made. anyone got any ideas?

I have no idea, I'm afraid, & can offer no help (outside of suggesting that you install the retail version of Alexander and play the mod from that).

But, I didn't know about this game-breaking A.I. siege bug. Would you be able to describe what the bug actually is, just to satisfy my curiousity?
