    Alletun, great tut!

    My only problem is the .bat file. When I try to run Medieval II using the batch file, nothing hapens. I went through those steps 3 times, but nothing happens. The batch file flashes for a second, but nothing else. Any ideas whats wrong?

    I solved the problem but now after the splash it crashes to desktop I am having this error log:
    15:39:06.843 [script.err] [error] Script Error in data/descr_building_battle.txt, at line 122, column 23
    Unable to find building_battle localised string 'ambient'

    this does not happen in normal MT2W only in this mod

    EDIT: I solved this too this is the cause:
    [io]
    file_first = true

    I deleted this and now It works perfect.

    CFG:

    Code:
    [io]
    file_first = true

    [features]
    mod = Medieval Classic

    [log]
    to = logs/system.log.txt
    level = * error

    [video]
    movies = false

    .BAT:

    medieval2.exe @MedievalClassicPreference.cfg

    Am I supposed to add those lines in the CFG file, or write them in on their own? I think that ight be the problem.

    hmm can't see what the problem is but this should work:

    name of the folder with all your files in: MedievalClassic
    name of cfg:
    MedievalClassic.cfg
    name of .bat:
    MedievalClassic.bat

    contents of cfg:
    Code:
    [features]
    mod = MedievalClassic

    [io]
    file_first = true
    contents of bat:
    Code:
    medieval2.exe @MedievalClassic.cfg

    If it's the same problem, then your probably missing an alpha channel or it's wrong.

    This is where you see your alpha channels:

    the channel called Alpha 1 shows the game what should be visible. the white is visible and while the black isn't. if you dont have an alpha channel with that name ("alpha 1") then create it by pressing the square in the lower right corner.
    hope it helps. if not, just ask

    "coming soon" is abit of an overstatement im afraid

    the files you need to look at can be found under
    data->ui->southern_european->interface
    the tga files with "battlepage" in it is the interface for the battlemap. sharedpage files is graphics which are used both in the the battlemap and the campaign map. lastly stratpage files are graphics used on the campaignmap.

    Thanks for the tips but I don't find the interface symbol for the special abilities like spear wall. They don't seem to be in this folder (data->ui->southern_european->interface).
