Vista Firewall

Are there any decent free firewalls out there for vista because I have Norton (and its ok but cumbersome) and I won't ever trust windows firewalls again. I used to use Commodo for the XP but it doesn't work on Vista and neither does Zonealarm.

Any ideas

never install norton on anything!

God, i hate that horrible horrible resource hogging piece of junk!

im waiting till a vista commodo comes out myself.

ZoneAlarm Free latest version does work on Vista aswell xp

Norton's fine if you can ignore the vendettas against it.

The Vista compatible version (upgrade downloadable from website) takes up just over 10MB when not scanning, which is nothing.

Actually the firewalls ok (I got Norton Protection system from my IP) but I hate the anti virus scanner. I want another firewall because I want all of the Norton of my laptop . I'd rather get another firewall and use Avast anti virus.

Why not?

I've been using the XP firewall as my sole firewall for years, and I never had a problem with it since SP2.

I got caught by a huge virus ,and when I done an online port test it showed me all the leaks I had. Installed Commodo and I repeated a few online tests and they all came back clear.

To be honest I haven't tried Vista Firewall.

Test your firewall here. If it passes and everything appears to work, your firewall is good. No need to get anything fancy, it's just a matter of blocking packets. Antivirus is more complicated.
