Thread: Attachment texture

    Default Attachment texture

    Hi people!

I have a little problem with normals. I can't seem to understand which parts of my texture need to have normals applied and which doesn't, and i don't know how to control this application in parts of the texture. Any advices?

    Thanks in advance!

So make normalmap for all parts of your texture. Anyway it is the best way

What version of Python are you trying to use? 2.4 or 2.5 are about as new as the toll can handle.

Well, solved the problem with conversion by installing earlier version of Python, still battling with the game though. Thanks irishron

There's plenty of tutorials about normals in the tutorial section, ipwnu678.

Then again, the model worked in-game, but every part of the model that was mapped to the attachment texture received the main texture in-game. How do i make the game use the right texture for the attachments? Here's the error

ah, thats something i ran into a few weeks ago. open the ms3d file while its in the unit folder, then open the DDS file from exactly where it is for the game, then select face pieces, shield, weapons and the small little extras and assign them to attachments. everything else should be assigned for figure (armour, legwear, arms, hands)

make sure both texture files are assigned to ignore the alpha

Thanks ipwnu678, i did that but it didn't solved the problem. Instead, a little correction on the uvws did the trick.
