Default comparisons, installation, turns, and cheats

    Hello,

I'm new to RTW and its mods, so I have a few questions.

    1. How does Rome Total History compare to the other popular mods (EB, RTR, RS)?
    2. How can I install RTW vanilla so that I can then install all four mods and be able to play any one of them?
    3. Do the cheat codes for the other modes work in Total History?
    4. Is there "forced diplomacy" in Total History?
    5. Are there four turns per year or two turns per year?

    Thank you

I'll try to answer your questions.

    1. RTH has a much more accurate map with more regions in the Mediterranean and less in the periphery. The political and military situation is more historic and more intricate.
RTH has no reconstructed language and invented ethnic names such as Ak-Ink (for Aquincum). Unit cards look generally closer to vanilla.
RTH has only historic leaders (at the start).
    2. RTH is easy to install in a separate folder. If the other three were the same, you could run all four together. But at least RS and EB are more complicated. So you probably need more than one installation of the game.
    3. Vanilla cheat codes work in RTH.
    4. I actually don't know. If it is in vanilla, it is in RTH. (Who can answer this one?)
    5. Two turns per year. Usually the game develops quite fast. You can expect the first Punic War around 260/255 BC.

I hope this helps. I'd suggest that you wait a few days, because I'm almost ready to launch RTH 1.5.

There is no forced diplomacy unless Philadelphos implemented it
