    Default Problem with Sprites![fixed]

Hey I made some new units in Attila but ran into something I never thought of.
The Goddamned Sprites, none of my units have any for the matter, a few models shows up as sprites.
I am using a lot of models from rome 2.

    Any clues?
All Models have lods with them, and not even the Horse's which is from Attila's files shows up?
I always thought they would be auto generated.

    Any Clues?

You have to add imposters to your models. With the distance you are showing the lods won´t help you.
You can do this in tweak.
So, ideally you´d have to put for every model that is imported or not vanilla an imposter model, so helmets, armour, shield etc if you´d want to see the unit in its entirety from afar, but by doing that in a large scale battle you may experience lags.
Make sure at least the armour has an imposter. The more imposters you use, the more you´ll see from your unit.
Basically the game loads the same model or anything you set as an imposter if you zoom out. Try to use the same imposters in order to improve performance.

Ahhh didn't knew that, you are a saint :3

So I would for each model repeat it like this:
    <VARIANT_MESH model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/armour/e3_tunic_2.rigid_model_v2" imposter_model="VariantMeshes/_VariantModels/man/armour/e3_tunic_2.rigid_model_v2" />

Going to try it put soon ^^

exactly. however, as mentioned, it may (most likely will) lead to performance hits if you put an imposter model to each model.

also, take a look here: http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showt...initions-files
search for imposter and see what Jack Lusted told us back then

Yeah A safe choice would just be Skin, helmet, armour, shield and horse.
But yeah I never really understood Imposter models before but it makes sense this way.

For skin and horse you may not need an imposter, unless they are imported or modified as well. Then yes.

Well the human skin is from Rome 2, but yeah the horse and its parts are from Attila, but it might have to be I made a VDM of it with.

It sure is, so it´s better to do it the moment you set up your units.
Reminds me of doing this myself with our medieval mod...

    Yess it was a pain.

    What I would recommend:
-make a VDM for each armor and Tunic separately, so Tunic A can be used with Armor B and visa versa.

that would reduce the number of times you would have to repeat it
